"Officers of the Old Army"

Four black soldiers pose in uniform with rifles and the title: "This print of the U.S. Army 1867, respectfully dedicated to the officers of the old army." It is probably a satire referring to Andrew Johnson's 1867 decision to phase out African-American soldiers who had been prominent in the U.S. military forces that occupied the defeated South during the early years of Reconstruction.
