Thomas Clement Fletcher (1827-1899)
Thomas Clement Fletcher was a Union soldier who served as Colonel of the 31st Missouri and then the 47th Missouri. He was brevetted Brigadier General of Volunteers. He was wounded in action and captured at Chickasaw Bayou. After the war he served as Governor of Missouri from 1865-69. He was a strong opponent of slavery and a strong supporter of Lincoln in 1860 as a delegate to the Republican National Convention.
