Boott Cotton Mills in Lowell

This illustration form the front page of the May 29th, 1852 issue of Gleason's Pictorial shows the Boott Cotton Mills of Lowell, Massachusetts. The mill is now a National Historic Park that chronicles the history of Lowell and its role in the Industrial Revolution.
