People Watching Wright Brothers' Flight

After 1908 (the year of the Wright brothers' first public flights) there were always people watching their trials. This photograph was taken in 1911, during a test of new equipment, once again at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. It is a side view of Orville Wright soaring in level flight, while spectators look on.
