Warren Harding (1865-1923)

Here is President Warren Harding in a photograph taken during the last year of his life. He would die suddenly while touring the West Coast. He was one of the most popular presidents in the history of the country, until after his death, when scandals began to surface. The worst became known as Teapot Dome, an illegal oil-leasing scheme within the Interior Department.
