Young Clara Moore, a serio-comic singer, was in great demand in the 1870s and 80s and appeared frequently at New York's Theatre Comique and Tony Pastor's theater. Together with C. T. (Charles) Ellis, Moore performed a variety show called "Love's Labor" for many years. The singer poses in a cabinet card photograph by J. Wood of New York City.
