Notre Dame de Paris Cathedral
The Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris was constructed from the twelfth to the fourteenth centuries and is the most famous medieval cathedral in the Gothic style (Early Gothic and Rayonnant Gothic). This photograph shows the cathedral after the mid-nineteenth-century restoration by Eugene Viollet-le-Duc, a Gothic Revival architect, completed in 1864.
