Joseph E. McDonald (1819-1891)

Joseph Ewing McDonald was a United States representative and senator from Indiana. He was elected as a Democrat to Congress (1849-1851). McDonald was attorney general of Indiana from 1856 to 1860. He was elected a U.S. senator (1875-1881).
