Calvin Coolidge (1872-1933)

Coolidge wears a black arm band in mourning for Warren Harding. Though he successfully balanced the budget and reduced the deficit, his only positive social program was a minor expansion of the federal role in road building. He failed to do anything to help the country avert the looming financial crisis.
