Franklin B. Sanborn, social reformer and literary scholar

Sanborn was a biographer and editor of many of the authors of the American Transcendental literary movement. He was also an ardent abolitionist and was involved in John Brown's plot to raid the federal arsenal at Harpers Ferry.
