Thomas Jefferson (1743-1826)

This color lithograph of Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd President of the United States, was engraved and published by Henry R. Robinson. Jefferson was a founding father of the United States and a true renaissance man who was an accomplished architect, inventor and naturalist. As a member of the second Continental Congress, he drafted the Declaration of Independence. One of the most significant events of his presidency was the acquisition of the Louisiana territory.
