Proclamation of the Louisiana Purchase

This proclamation was issued to inform New Orleans inhabitants about the change of power in Louisiana. It was written in English, French & Spanish and signed by William C. C. Claiborne. Claiborne was appointed governor of the new territory by Thomas Jefferson.
