Anna de la Grange (b.1825)
Anna de la Grange was a vocalist from France. She made her debut at age sixteen in "La Duchesse de Guise" at the Theatre de la Renaissance. De la Grange's U.S. debut was in 1855 at Niblo's Garden in New York as Rosina in "The Barber of Seville." Also in 1855 the singer made her first appearance in Philadelphia as Leonora in "Il Trovatore" at the Walnut Street Theatre. The vocalist traveled to England to perform in 1859 but she returned to the U.S. in 1867. La Grange wears a black veil and a revealing dress.
