Kate Morensi

Kate Duckworth Morensi, an operatic alto, made her 1858 New York debut as Prince Affable in "Love and Lightning" at Laura Keene's Theatre. She was well known for the role of Maffio Orsini in Donizetti's "Lucrezia Borgia" and Azucena in "Il Trovatore." Morensi continued to perform in concert in the 1870s.
