Marietta Ravel (b.1847)
Marietta Ravel, French mime, pantomimist, tightrope walker, and dancer, belonged to the famous Ravel family. Her tight rope debut was at age four. Ravel married the songwriter Dave Braham in 1862 and became a stage star when she first appeared in the "French Spy" in 1865. Ravel performs a patriotic tight wire walk with two American flags in the background.
