Comte de Paris and Duc de Chartres
The Count of Paris (Louis Philippe Albert D'Orleans, 1838-1894) (on the left) and the Duke of Chartres Chartres (Robert Philippe Louis Eugene Ferdinand D'Orleans) (1840-1910) were French Royalist brothers who fought in the American Civil War. The duke was nicknamed Captain Chatters by General McClellan's men. The Count de Paris was an aide to General McClellan and the author of "The History of the Civil War in America."
