Caroline Fillmore (1813-1881)

Caroline Carmichael McIntosh Fillmore was a wealthy Albany widow who became the second wife of former President Millard Fillmore in 1858. They purchased a huge, ornate Gothic mansion on Niagara Square in Buffalo which became a center of generous hospitality.
