Lincoln and His Son Tad

The central photograph on this postcard shows Abraham Lincoln reading a book with his son Tad. There are also two illustrations showing a man splitting rails and another flatboating, both of which were early careers for Lincoln. The following quote, attributed to Lincoln, is also provided: "You may fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time; but you cannot fool all of the people all of the time." This is one of many postcards published commemorating the centennial of Lincoln's birth.
