Abraham Lincoln Postcard

The central photograph in this illustration is a photograph of Abraham Lincoln before he made a speech at Cooper Union in New York City. Illustrations of the Cooper Union and Lincoln's Indiana boyhood home are also shown with the following quote from his autobiography: "If any personal description of me is thought desirable, it may be said I am, in height, six feet four inches, nearly; lean in flesh, weighing on an average one hundred and eighty pounds; dark complexion, with coarse black hair and gray eyes. No other marks or brands recollected." This is one of many postcards published commemorating the centennial of Lincoln's birth.
