Lincoln Letter to Mrs. Bixby
This postcard commemorating the centennial of Abraham Lincoln's birth shows a portrait of Lincoln in the upper right hand corner of a letter he wrote to Mrs. Bixby in Boston upon discovering that she had lost five sons, "who died gloriously in battle," during the American Civil War. This is one of many postcards published commemorating the centennial of Lincoln's birth.
